Photo posters at pixum are available in 3 formats – 12″ format, 16″×24″ and 20″×30″. The two larger formats are printed at the actual quoted sizes. With the 12″ format, the shortest dimension of your photo is printed is printed at 12″ and the longer dimension is printed at between 12″ and 18″, depending on you photo’s aspect ratio.
For the best poster print results, Pixum recommend:
- Photos for printing a 12″ format poster (printed at – 1200×1200 pixels to 1200×1800 pixels) should be taken with a digital camera with at least 2 megapixels.
- For 16″×24″ posters (printed at – 2400×1600 pixels), photos should be taken with a camera with at least 4 megapixels.
- For 20″×30″ posters (printed at – 3000×2000 pixels), photos should be taken with a camera with at least 6 megapixels.
Canvas photo prints at Pixum are available in 5 different size formats; 8″×12″, 12″×16″, 16″×24″, 24″×24″ and 24″×32″.
Your favourite digital photo will be artistically printed on to a real canvas and then stretched over and mounted on a wooden frame. Please note that about 1″ of each edge of your printed canvas is folded over and secured to the wooden frame (you may be able to see this in the image on the right), so bear this in mind when taking or editing your photo – don’t have important stuff near the edges! The sizes shown above are for the frame, the actual canvas will therefore actually be about 2 inches longer and wider.
For best canvas print results, Pixum recommend:
- For 8″×12″ canvas prints (printed at 1024×1378 pixels), photos should be from a camera of at least 1 megapixel.
- For 12″×16″ canvas prints (printed at 1378×1772 pixels), photos from cameras with at least 2 megapixels.
- For 16″×24″ canvas prints (printed at 1772×2559 pixels), 4 megapixels.
- For 24″×24″ canvas prints (printed at 2559×2559 pixels), 4 megapixels.
- For 24″×32″ canvas prints (printed at 2559×3346 pixels), 8 megapixels.
Pixum also have a range of framed canvas prints. These are constructed in the same way as the standard canvas prints with the wooden frame but a decorative frame is also added to turn your canvas print into a piece of art, ready to hang on the wall.
You can choose from the “Art” style frame (gold, black or silver) or the “Havana” style frame (red, white or blue) and they are available in the same 5 size formats as the standard canvas prints.
